A death is showing as "unconfirmed" — why?
Dead or Not? cross-checks every reported death against tier-one news sources (Reuters, AP, BBC, etc.) before confirming it. This protects against Wikipedia/Wikidata vandalism, which does happen to real people's pages. If it's unconfirmed, either the news hasn't caught up yet, or the original report wasn't accurate.
How does the free vs. Pro watchlist limit work?
Free accounts can track up to 3 people. Pro (a one-time $4.99 purchase — not a subscription) removes that limit, turns off ads, and enables death alert notifications.
I bought Pro but it's not showing on a new device.
Open the Pro screen (tap the "Pro" badge on the Watchlist screen) and tap Restore Purchases. This re-links your purchase using the Apple ID you bought it with — no need to buy again.
How do death alerts work?
Pro users' watchlists are checked roughly every hour against tier-one news. If a death is confirmed, you get a push notification.
How do I delete my data?
Deleting the app removes everything stored on your device. If you're a Pro user with alerts enabled, email the address above and I'll delete your synced watchlist and device token from our server too.
